Target Scope Summary in the PICSWeb Portfolio for Learners

This guidance is for learners using PICSWeb Portfolio. As this system can be customised by your training provider, you may not have access to all of the areas described in this help. Please ask your training provider if you are experiencing any issues with the system.

Selecting the title of an item in the Target Scope tab will open the summary page for that item.

The Scope Details box shows the Title and Type (either Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours or Other) for the item. The rest of the information is divided into the three tabs explained below.

Scan Results

This tab shows your percentage completion of the item according to your Target Scans. These are divided into scans answered by your Assessor, you (the Learner), and your Employer. For each role, the following scan results are shown:

  • Initial result

  • Latest result

  • Distance Travelled – This is the amount of progression from your initial scan to the most recent one.

  • All Results – This shows all scan results for the scope item in the form of a bar chart.

Components

This tab shows all the Components of your programme that are linked to the scope item.

For each component in the list, the following details are shown:

  • Component Type

  • Title

  • Scope Items – The icons underneath the component title show the Codes for each of the Target Scope Items that the component covers.

  • Status

  • Start date

  • Due date

  • Done date – If you haven’t yet finished this unit, this column will be blank.

Selecting the icon by any component in this list will show an option to go to the corresponding Component Summary.

Filtering the Component List

The following options are available to control what information is shown in the tab. Once you have made any changes, select the Search icon to refresh the list.

  • Component Types – Here you can choose which Types you want the list to show.

  • 100 Records – This drop-down menu allows you to choose how many components are displayed in the page.

You can also select More > Due Before to add a new filter, which allows you to specify a Due Date to restrict the list by.

Exporting the Component List

If you want to save a copy of this list, select More > Export to Excel to save a spreadsheet version of the list to your device.

Evidence

This tab shows all the Evidence Files that have been uploaded to support the scope item.

A button to Upload Evidence is also available here, where you can upload a new piece of evidence linked to the scope item.

Bear in mind that if a piece of evidence for this scope item has been requested, any attachments uploaded using this button will Not be used to fulfill that request. You should instead go to the Evidence Summary for the requested piece of evidence that appears in this list.

For each item in the list, the following details are shown:

  • Title

  • Added/Due date

  • Uploaded By

  • Assessment Status

  • Your Signature – If you need to sign off against the evidence, the due date and time or signed date and time will be shown here.

  • Download – Select this to save a copy of the evidence file to your device.

Selecting the icon by any evidence item in this list will show an option to go to the corresponding Evidence Summary. Here you can upload any files that have been requested.

Filtering the Evidence List

The following options are available to control what information is shown in the tab. Once you have made any changes, select the Search icon to refresh the list.

  • Title – Here you can search the list for an evidence with a specific Title or Reference Code.

  • 100 Records – This drop-down menu allows you to choose how many evidence items are displayed in the page.

Exporting the Evidence List

If you want to save a copy of this list, select More > Export to Excel to save a spreadsheet version of the list to your device.
