Course Room Summary in PICSWeb

Selecting the ... icon next to a Course Room and selecting Summary will open the Course Room Summary page. 

Room Details

The following details are shown for the room:

  • Room Code

  • Name

  • Number of Seats

  • Status – This will be either Live or Dormant.

Sessions

The Sessions tab lists any session that take place in the room. For each session, the following details are shown:

  • Course Title – This is the Course of which the session is a part. Selecting this will take you to the corresponding Course Summary.

  • Delivered Online

  • Date

  • Day of the Week

  • Time

  • Tutor

  • Room – As the session list is for the room only, this will only show the current room.

  • Number of Files Attached – Selecting the Download icon will take you to the Files section of the Session Summary, where you can download any files as necessary.

  • Flag – If the session has been flagged for any reason, this will be shown here. Session flags are maintained in the Session Flag Configuration page.

Filtering the Session List

The following searching and filtering options are available by default above the list. Once you have entered the necessary details, press Enter or select the Search icon to run the search and apply your filters.

  • Sort By

  • Quick Session Dates – These options filter by the date of the session, meaning that you can, for example, choose all sessions occurring Today.

  • Starts From date

  • Ends Before date

  • Number of sessions displayed

Along with these, additional fields can be added by selecting More. Choosing a field will add it to the top bar, where it works like the filters explained above. The following fields are available:

  • Flag

  • Has Flag

  • Room

  • Start Time

  • Tutor

  • Site

Exporting the Session List

Selecting More also shows an option to Export to Excel. Selecting this will generate an Excel Spreadsheet containing the details currently displayed in the list.

Session Actions

The following actions are available from the session menu:

  • Summary – Selecting ... > Summary by a session in the list will open the corresponding Session Summary page.

  • Attendance – Selecting ... > Edit Attendance by a session in the list will open the corresponding Edit Attendance window.

  • Edit Session – Selecting ... > Edit Session by a session in the list will open the Edit Session window.

  • Copy Forward – Selecting ... > Copy Forwards by a session in the list will open the Copy Session Forward window.

  • Delete – Selecting ... > Delete will remove the session. You will be prompted to confirm before the session is deleted.

  • Bulk Update – If you have ticked any sessions in the list, the Update All option will be available. Selecting this will open the Bulk Edit Session window.

  • Bulk Delete – If you have ticked any sessions in the list, the Update All option will be available. Selecting this will delete all ticked sessions. You will be prompted to confirm before the sessions are deleted.
