Deleting WebForms in PICSWeb

Deleting a form is an irreversible action. Please refer to the WebForm Workflow to ensure that deletion, rather than rejection, is the appropriate action.

If a WebForm instance has been created in error, you can delete it as long as no remote data has been captured and the form has not yet been Approved.

To delete a form, select … > Delete by the relevant form in the WebForm List. When you delete a form, you will be prompted to enter the following details:

  • Reason – Deletion reasons are maintained by your database administrators in Deletion Reason Configuration.

  • Feedback Notes

  • Once you have entered your details, select Save to delete the form.

The owner will then be sent an email notifying them that the form has been deleted. Your Reason and Feedback Notes will be added to the Form Summary.

Deleting as an Admin

If your user account has Form Capture Manager set in their User Permissions, you will be able to delete forms irrespective of the Form Owner.

Admin users can also delete forms using the Status drop-down menu in the WebForm Summary.

Forms can be deleted from the following statuses:

  • Live

  • Submitted

  • Rejected

  • Being Checked – This can only be done from the WebForm Summary.

You will also be able to delete a form that is Awaiting Remote Signing. To do this, you will first need to Stop Remote Signing from the WebForm Summary. This will change the status to Rejected, from which you can delete the form.

Deleting as a User

If your user account has Form Capture Client User and not Form Capture Manager set in their User Permissions, you will only be able to delete forms that have you set as the Owner.

You will only be able to delete Live forms using the … > Delete button from the WebForm List.
