Unit Summary in PICSWeb Portfolio for Employers

This guidance is for employer representatives using PICSWeb Portfolio. As this system can be customised by the training provider, you may not have access to all of the areas described in this help. Please ask the training provider if you are experiencing any issues with the system.

Selecting … > Summary by a Unit will open the summary page for that unit.

The following details for the unit are shown in the details box:

  • Title

  • Reference code

  • Awarding Body Reference code

  • Qualification

  • Status

  • Progress – This shows the proportion of the unit that is In Progress (orange), Completed (green), or Not Started (grey).

  • Start date

  • Due date

  • Done date – If the unit has not yet been completed, this column will be blank.

The rest of the information is divided into the three tabs explained below.

Learning Outcomes

This tab shows the Learning Outcomes that make up the unit.

For each item in the list, the following details are shown:

  • Title code

  • Due date

  • Done date – If the outcome has not yet been completed, this column will be blank.

Selecting the icon by any outcome in this list will show an option to go to the corresponding Learning Outcome Summary. This page works in the same way as the Unit Summary, as does the Assessment Criteria Summary that you can access from learning outcomes.

Filtering the Learning Outcome List

The following options are available to control what information is shown in the tab. Once you have made any changes, select the Search icon to refresh the list.

  • Title – Here you can search the list for a unit with a specific Title or Reference Code.

  • 100 Records – This drop-down menu allows you to choose how many units are displayed in the page.

Exporting the Learning Outcome List

If you want to save a copy of this list, select More > Export to Excel to save a spreadsheet version of the list to your device.

Evidence

This tab shows all the Evidence Files that have been uploaded to support the unit.

For each item in the list, the following details are shown:

  • Title

  • Added/Due date

  • Uploaded By

  • Assessment Status

  • Learner Signed – If the learner needs to sign off against the evidence, the due date and time or signed date and time will be shown here.

  • Download – Select this to save a copy of the evidence file to your device.

Selecting the icon by any evidence item in this list will show an option to go to the corresponding Evidence Summary.

Filtering the Evidence List

The following options are available to control what information is shown in the tab. Once you have made any changes, select the Search icon to refresh the list.

  • Title – Here you can search the list for an evidence with a specific Title or Reference Code.

  • 100 Records – This drop-down menu allows you to choose how many evidence items are displayed in the page.

Exporting the Evidence List

If you want to save a copy of this list, select More > Export to Excel to save a spreadsheet version of the list to your device.

Assessments

This tab shows any Assessments scheduled for the unit.

For each assessment in the list, the following details are shown:

  • Title

  • Due date

  • Done date – If the assessment has not yet been completed, this column will be blank.

Selecting the icon by any assessment in this list will show an option to go to the corresponding Assessment Summary.

Filtering the Assessment List

The following options are available to control what information is shown in the tab. Once you have made any changes, select the Search icon to refresh the list.

  • Sort By – Here you can choose how the assessments in the list are sorted.

  • Name/Title/Reference – Here you can search the list for an assessment with a specific Title or Reference Code.

  • 100 Records – This drop-down menu allows you to choose how many assessments are displayed in the page.

Exporting the Assessment List

If you want to save a copy of this list, select More > Export to Excel to save a spreadsheet version of the list to your device.

Resources

This tab shows any resources available to support the unit. These can take the form of links or files to download.

Selecting the icon for a resource will open the Details window, where you can view more information for the resource and either open the link or download the file. You can also select the icon to show these options without having to open the details window.

Filtering the Resource List

The following options are available to control what information is shown in the tab. Once you have made any changes, select the Search icon to refresh the list.

  • Title – Here you can search the list for a resource with a specific Title.

  • 100 Records – This drop-down menu allows you to choose how many resources are displayed in the page.

Exporting the Resource List

If you want to save a copy of this list, select More > Export to Excel to save a spreadsheet version of the list to your device.
