Course List

The course list displays any courses that match the filters set above the list. For each course, the following details are shown:

  • Title
  • Status – A flag will be shown if the course is Dormant.
  • Tags – Selecting the Image Removed icon will expand a list of Tags attached to the course. You can select the X within a tag to remove it, or select the + icon to add new tags.
  • Course Dates – These options filter by the overall date span of the course, meaning that you can, for example, choose all Current courses.
  • Course Type – Every course is an example of an overall course type. Course types are explained in Configuring Course Types in PICSWeb. Selecting the Course Type here will take you to the respective Course Type Summary page.
  • Type – This indicates whether the course is Fixed Start Date or Roll-On Roll-Off.
  • Leader – This is the PICS Officer who has been linked as the leader. 
  • Seats – This indicates how many places are available in total. Selecting the Image Removed icon will open a graph displaying how many places have been filled through time.

  • Spaces – This indicates how many seats are left out of the total shown in the Seats column.
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Site

Filtering the List

The following searching and filtering options are available by default above the list. Once you have entered the necessary details, press Enter or select the Image Removed icon to run the search and apply your filters.

  • Sort By – Here you can use the drop-down menu to choose how the list is ordered.
  • Search – Here you can search by instance Title.
  • Tags – Selecting the Search... box will open a drop-down menu where you can add multiple Tags to search by. The following search options are available:

    • Any – This will filter the list to records that contain at least one of the specified tags.
    • All – This will filter the list to records that contain every specified tag.
    • None – This will filter the list to records that do not have any of the specified tags.
  • Course Dates
  • Course Type – Here you can search by Course Type.
  • Number of records – Here you can use the drop-down menu to choose how many results are displayed per page.

Along with these, additional fields can be added by selecting More. Choosing a field will add it to the top bar, where it works like the filters explained above. The following fields are available:

  • Status
  • Instance Type
  • Currently Running
  • Starts From
  • Ends Before

Exporting the List

Selecting More also shows an option to Export to Excel. Selecting this will generate an Excel Spreadsheet containing the details currently displayed in the list.

Adding a New Course

Selecting Create from the top-right corner of the page will open the New Course window. In this window, you can specify the following details:

  • Title
  • Course Type
  • Instance Type
  • Start Date
  • End Date

Image Removed

Once you have added the necessary details, three different Save options are available:

  • Save and Edit – This will take you to the Edit Course window, where further fields are available to edit.
  • Save and View Summary – This will take you to the Course Summary.
  • Save and Close – This will return you to the Course List.

Course Actions

Selecting the ... icon by a course in the list will open a menu with the following options:
