Each Course is made up of multiple sessions. Each session covers an individual lesson or other event. Selecting Courses > Sessions > Sessions from the side menu will open a list of sessions for all courses, with the list limited by default to those that are running on the current day.

Course Session List
To view the sessions that make up an individual course, go to the Sessions tab in the relevant Course Summary.
The course session list displays any sessions that match the filters set above the list. For each session, the following details are shown:
Title
Quick Session Dates – These options filter by the date of the session, meaning that you can, for example, choose all sessions occurring Today.
Course Type – Every course is an example of an overall course type. Course types are explained in Configuring Course Types in PICSWeb. Selecting the Course Type here will take you to the respective Course Type Summary page.
Type – This indicates whether the course is Fixed Start Date
oror Roll-On Roll-Off.
Leader – This is the PICS Officer who has been linked as the leader.
Seats – This indicates how many places are available in total. Selecting the
Eye icon will open a graph displaying how many places have been filled through time.
Filtering the Session List
The following searching and filtering options are available by default above the list. Once you have entered the necessary details, press press Enter or select or select the Search icon to run the search and apply your filters.
Sort By – Here you can use the drop-down menu to choose how the list is ordered.
Quick Session Dates – Here you can choose from various pre-defined date ranges relative to the current date.
Starts From – Selecting this field will open a calendar date selector.
Ends Before – Selecting this field will open a calendar date selector.
Number of records – Here you can use the drop-down menu to choose how many results are displayed per page.
Along with these, additional fields can be added by selecting More. Choosing a field will add it to the top bar, where it works like the filters explained above. The following fields are available:
Room
Start Time
Tutor
Exporting the Session List
Selecting More also shows an option to Export to Excel. Selecting this will generate an Excel Spreadsheet containing the details currently displayed in the list.

Course Session Actions
To create a new session, you will first need to open the relevant Course Summary and open the Sessions tab. Selecting Create Session will open a window where you can enter the following details for the new session:
- Session Date – Selecting the window will open up a calendar where you can choose the date.
- Starts time
- Ends time
Once you have entered the necessary details, select Save to continue. The session will be saved and you will be taken to the Edit Session window, where you can specify further details.
Bear in mind that if your new session is not scheduled for the current day, it may not appear in the list once you have saved it if the Running Today box is ticked.
Course Session Actions
Adding new sessions is done from the Sessions tab in the Course Summary.
The following actions are available from the session list:
Summary – Selecting ... > Summary

Attendance – Selecting ... > Edit Attendance by a session in the list will open the

Delete – Selecting ... > Delete
willwill remove the session. You will be prompted to confirm before the session is deleted.
Bulk Update – If you have ticked any sessions in the list,
thethe Update All option will be available. Selecting this will open
the windowwindow.
Bulk Delete – If you have ticked any sessions in the list,
thethe Update All option will be available. Selecting this will delete all ticked sessions. You will be prompted to confirm before the sessions are deleted.
