Downloading the EDS Reference Number for an Organisation in PICSWeb

If you have set up the Employer Data Service (EDS) Integration in Integration Configuration, you can search for and download the Employer Reference Number (ERN) for an employer from the Organisation Summary.

Once this has been set up, any organisation that does not have an ERN will display a link to Search the EDS Service for a Reference in the Organisation Details box at the left-hand side of the Organisation Summary.

Open

A window will then open where you can search for a matching employer on the EDS. You can refine the search using the following options:

• Search Type – Here you can choose to search for a match by the organisation Name and Postcode or just the Postcode.

• Show – If Only Valid Organisations is chosen here, the search results will not display any Dormant or Duplicate employers found.

Once you have made your choices, select Search to continue.

Open

The next window will show any matching employers found in the EDS. Any Dormant organisations will be highlighted in red and any Duplicate organisations will be highlighted in yellow. Selecting the arrow by an employer name will expand further details about the employer stored on the EDS.

Once you have found the correct employer, select Select this EDS Reference. The Reference Number will then be added to the PICSWeb organisation record.
