PICS 20.00.003.02 Release Notes

The following changes were made as part of PICS 20.00.03.02, as released on the 16th October 2020.

Improvements

  • Claims and Profiles – The FM25 Funding Calculator now calculates funding for T Level programmes.

  • Claims and Profiles – The Earnings Adjustment Statement data collection and export is now available for 2020.

  • Claims and Profiles – The Traineeship funding calculation now includes the correct rate for learners starting on or after the 1st September 2020.

  • Course Manager, eTutor – Enrolment & Session lists are now sorted by Surname + Firstname case insensitively.

  • Imports and Exports – For Pellcomp hosted customers, the ILR Exporter will now prompt to use the PICSWeb exporter. The ILR exporter will only be available in PICSWeb from 11th January 2021.

  • Desktop PICS – LARS v7 : 1st October and ORGANISATIONS v3.0.0 : 12th October are now available in PICS.

  • PICSWeb, Reporting – Organisation Activities reports are now compatible with data entered in PICSWeb.

  • Reporting – FTP in Scheduled Reports now supports TLS1.2

Data Patches

These are changes to the PICS Database structure to support future features. When they are available they will be announced as New Features or Improvements in the relevant Release Notes.

  • Desktop PICS, PICSWeb – Permissions for PICSWeb have been made more granular.

Bug Fixes

  • Claims and Profiles – The FM36 Funding Calculation was not applying the “Funding Used at Previous Provider” accurately to Framework Uplift funding. Now fixed.

  • Imports and Exports – The 2019 ILR Exporter no longer sends ACT FAM records which have a Valid From date in 2020. This is to prevent rule R110 when learners have become employed after the 1st August 2020.

  • Imports and Exports, PelControl – HE data would not be imported from ILRs in some cases. Now fixed.

  • Desktop PICS – Learner Imports were not respecting the Qualification Plan Aim type “Non Funding Body – Tracking only” and adding them to the ILR. Now fixed.

  • Reporting – The Audit Report’s “Source of Funding” Report was incorrectly identifying FM36 aims as having an incorrect Source of Funding if an LSDPostcode is present. Now fixed.

  • Reporting – The Audit Report’s Maths and English options were not respecting MCF/ECF codes 4 and 5 when determining the condition of funding against learners. Now fixed.
